Hoping to embolden listeners, Will Irvine explains further;

“It’s about finding an escape from the social onslaught that is constantly telling you you’re not good enough. People are comparing themselves to airbrushed models and losing self worth around every corner. It’s the worst for young girls and women as that’s such a huge focus online and everything seems to be unfairly scrutinised. How can we be satisfied in a world where 13 year old girls around the globe are becoming clinically depressed because they don’t feel worthy when comparing themselves to this fake image of perfection that we see every day? We’re supposed to inspire each other and lift each other up, not drag each other down. It’s really dark.

We want to empower every person that’s ever felt ‘not good enough’. We want this song to be part of a catalyst for promoting more self love. Sometimes all it takes is someone close to you to steal you away from that world for just a minute. “You can save me tonight” is exactly that moment. Take a risk. Do something impulsive that makes you feel alive. Grab your mates and tell them you love them. We all need to hear it.”

Named as one of their Breaking Through artists, Rock Sound said DAYTIME TV “…have their own uniquely captivating brand of arena-ready-pop-rock” and urged readers to “…get stuck into these guys before they take off.” It’s no surprise then, that DAYTIME have captivated airwaves across Europe with multiple spins on the likes of RTÉ 2XM, Indie XL (NL) and MDR Sputnik (DE) as well at home on Kerrang! Radio, Amazing Radio and BBC Radio Scotland’s acclaimed Introducing show.

Recording with GRAMMY®-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Twin Atlantic, Lower Than Atlantis) gave DAYTIME TV the opportunity to push the boundaries like they always wanted. “We’ve written what we feel are the best songs we’ve ever done, by a long way and we wanted somebody that was going to push us and bring the songs to life.” And that’s exactly what happened, their writing skills and musicianship were rocketed into new and exciting uncharted territory.

DAYTIME TV initially started life as critically acclaimed Scottish powerhouse Hunter & The Bear, where Will Irvine (vocals & guitar) found bandmates for life in Chris Clark (bass) and Gareth Thompson (drums). Toughened by relentless touring and unstoppable creativity, the group enjoyed a remarkable run of sold-out shows including The Scala in London, Gorilla in Manchester, and The Garage in Glasgow upon the release of their much-lauded debut album ‘Paper Heart’ and built a loyal following across the UK. In early 2019, DAYTIME TV recruited the bright guitar sound of John Caddick (guitar) and with him, ushered in a new era.
