Hate reveal details for new album, ‘Auric Gates of Veles’

Colour photograph of the band hate. They are stood in a field with a pale blue sky behind them. The band wear black sleeveless shirts, white facepaint and black paint around their eyes and mouths. Something obscures parts of the image, it appears to be a handmade weapon in the foreground, almost hitting the camera.

On June 14th, Hate will release their 11th full-length album, Auric Gates of Veles, via Metal Blade Records. For a preview of Auric Gates of Veles, the first single, “Sovereign Sanctity“, can be heard below.

Guitarist and vocalist ATF Sinner said:

“We wanted to go deeper into the subject, both musically and lyrically, we also wanted to record a sharper and better defined rhythm section, a more death metal-oriented one. When it comes to guitar sound, it was meant to be a wall of sonic destruction with dark ambient elements in the background. We wanted the songs to sound like anthems, and ‘Sovereign Sanctity’ is a perfect example of such a song. I think it’s also one of the best we have written in years,”
