Loathe are a 5 piece formed in Liverpool. Their debut record ‘The Cold Sun’ signified a shrewd testimony – the quintet nailed their colours to the mast with a mission statement; an ode to the times we’re living in and the murky future that we all find ourselves faced with. The result was an accomplished chronicle, a passionate work filled with technical precision, sinister ambience and bitter bile. Loathe offer a sonic architecture which weaves together hardcore, heavy electronics, djent, post-punk and deathcore with a side of prog… melding sonic threads into a surreal entity which reels you deep into the abyss.

Loathe played at Slam Dunk and Download Festival UK this summer – off the back of being nominated for a Metal Hammer Golden God award (Best New Band) and an HMA award (Best UK Breakthrough Band). They have also recently toured the USA with Wage War and Oceans Ate Alaska, with their debut US show taking place at the highly respected Knot Fest. They’ve toured with the likes of Bury Tomorrow, Novelists, For Today and Carcer City, with a Sikth UK tour currently taking place and a Beartooth EU tour which they most recently completed.
