Cryptic video from Slayer may hint at final tour dates announcement
Thrash heavyweights Slayer have this afternoon released a cryptic video with no information at all other than what is seen. The video teases ‘The End’ coming in Fall 2019 while a voice narrates
“To every story, there is a tragedy. Life is a book filled with chapters. Some tell stories of a good time, some tell stories of the dark. To every monster, there’s a hero. To every nightmare, we all wake up. To every story, there’s a final chapter. Some monsters can become human. Other monsters reap for revenge. This is the end of the monsters.”
Presumably this is a teaser for the announcement of their last leg of North American farewell tour dates before the band retires permanently from touring. The video can be watched below.
Primus look to be one of the support acts on the last leg of the tour. Les Claypool of Primus appeared on Bill Burr’s Thursday Afternoon Monday Morning Podcast on the 21st of March and revealed that they had been confirmed to support Slayer with the last leg starting at Madison Square Garden in New York then finishing at The Forum in Los Angeles. You can hear Claypool discuss it at 50:00 in the video below.
Ministry have been rumoured to be another support act but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Between now and October Slayer will play a number of festivals in Europe, South America and the US as well as mini tours in Europe and South America. Expect the final leg of tour dates to possibly begin in October and run into early 2020.
